If you are looking for a new home that is exceptionally comfortable, healthy to live in, more energy efficient and better for the environment, then take a close look at the EnviroHome projects presented here.
Each year the EnviroHome designation is given to a select number of new home projects across Canada. To qualify, each home must be certified to the R-2000 Standard and include additional air quality and environmental features beyond what the R-2000 Program requires.
EnviroHome projects showcase the best in new home building technology and products. And EnviroHome builders are among the “best of the best”—highly innovative, skilled professionals who know how to construct exceptional homes that meet the needs of today’s consumers for healthy homes that are also affordable.
The EnviroHome Initiative was established in 1994 by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) and TD Canada Trust to recognize and support innovative new home builders who were committed to offering consumers homes that are “better for you, better for your community and better for the environment”. The EnviroHome projects and EnviroHome builders presented on this site have met that high standard.
TD Canada Trust is the national sponsor of the EnviroHome Initiative. To learn more about TD Canada Trust’s environmental activities, visit the Friends of the Environment Foundation or TD Canada Trust
The EnviroHome Initiative is also supported by the R-2000 Program. To learn more about R-2000, click here
Every EnviroHome project also incorporates many Healthy Housing features, reflecting the research and development efforts of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. Find out about Healthy housing here.
